At Publishing in Color, we are dedicated to nurturing the growth of Christian content creators of color. Our vision is to create a vibrant community where diverse voices flourish and inspire others.

Inspiration

Joyce Dinkins

Joyce Dinkins loves to grow ethnic Christian content through Publishing in Color. David C. Cook recruited her to develop and launch the Echoes curriculum. NavPress hired Joyce as Current Thoughts & Trends editor. Woman’s Missionary Union book publisher, New Hope, recruited her as managing editor.

Our Daily Bread Ministries sought her as Our Daily Bread devotional executive editor, and founding editor of their VOICES initiative. She has served on the board of the Academy of Christian Editors, the Evangelical Christian Publishing Association DEI subcommittee, and delivered workshops for conferences across the US. Her list of published writing includes Not Easily Broken: Wisdom on Dating and Marriage with Christ at the Center (ODBP, 2026), coauthored with her husband, Steven.

They have three adult children. She has a masters in curriculum and Instruction (Colorado Christian University) and BA English with very high honors (Northern Michigan University).

David Dinkins

David Dinkins is business and content advisor at Publishing in Color, since 2023. His responsibilities include website development, illustration of site media, public speaking, writing, and editing. David is an Evangelical Christian Publishing Association Emerging Leader (2025).

David speaks on topics that include his vision for the growth of ethnic diversity in Christian content, his experiences as a neurodiverse individual, and more. Most recently, he shared at the Evangelical Press Association annual convention. He is an award-winning public speaker and artist, and has had illustration work featured in art museums and auctioned for fund raisers (Art in Place of Blight, Destiny Covenant Church global missions). His alma mater is the University of Alabama.
